Archer's Dart is a scarce moth in Caithness, only recorded from the larger sand dune systems at Reay, Dunnet and Sinclair's Bay. The adult is on the wing from July into September. It overwinters as a larva which will feed on a variety of herbaceous plants throughout the winter except when it is very cold.
