Hi All

Does anyone have a death certificate for ELISABETH (GREEN ) DURRAND?
She was born 1815 married JAMES DURRAND in 1831.
I believe she died around 1869, but I have hit a brick wall on this one.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi

She was born in WICK. Her parents were James Green and Isobel Oag.

Her children were James , John , and Isabella.

I also found her on 1851 census in Glasgow with another child Johan Durrand.
but I think this child was not the daughter of her husband James, as I think he had died in 1841.

I found the children on 1861 census but no sign of Elisabeth. Maybe she had re-married but I have no idea what name to look for.

I've also had a quick look and she does seem to have disapppeared. I checked marriages but to no avail.Could she have left the country?

Sorry I cant help at all, you seem to have reached the Brick Wall we all dread !
I did check Passenger Lists but there was nothing there either. Of course some of the Lists were lost.

Dont give up !
Happy hunting

Hi

I have no idea what happened to her or where she went.

The last I have of her was on the 1851 census in Glasgow (34yrs old)
and then her death appears on Rootsweb as 1869 but I can't find a death cert for her or anything relating to her under her maiden name or married name.
