The article states that it is version 3.8.6 that is affected. Bottom of any page on the Org says we are using 3.8.1 so we're ok! :)

using a lower version is even worse, if we where on the most updated version/patch it prevents problems.

That is completely incorrect. The flaw wasn't introduced until 3.8.6 so having an earlier version is good. Pays to wait a bit to update, wait until any major flaws are uncovered.
Your ignorance here does not show the business in your signature in a good light.

Anyone else come straight here last night to check the version only to be sorely disappointed? Oh the possibilities! Just joking :)
