I would be very surprised if she had to travel in pain as a patient in pain is usually given some form of pain relief . Also it is caithness general hospital....not an orthopaedic hospital. Therefore xray outcomes are decided by raigmore. They must have needed to have her seen by orthopaedic specialists. A patient's best interests were at heart here I feel. As to her diabetic status...all emergencies are seen and treated as needed. I would have thought her blood sugar was checked and found to be satisfactory.
