I have a twin screen in car dvd player, when we last used it it was jumping the dvds even brand new ones. Could it be that i need a new one or could it be as simple as lense needing cleaned?

most prob lense cleaning.

go buy a cleaning disc.

the fine dust that blow around cars gets everywhere

try and get a brush one rather than a pad version
