I have been unhappy with energy suppliers for some time and it has always bugged me that most utility companies make there bills look more complicated than than they need to be.

Why can't utility companies just give you a bill that the customer can understand, unless of course they are trying to hide something and it is just an attempt to obfuscate.:confused

It seems some of the culprits may have been rumbled.:Razz

I'm with Scottish Hydro, and have always found the bills very easy to understand. After my meter has been read, I take a note of the reading and work out exactly what the bill will be.

Now when it comes to tariffs, that's a whole new ball game. :confused

On a gas bill if you try and work it out yourself how they came to the amount u owe them it is confusing why they cant just say its x amount per unit is beyond me.
You just have to make sure you dont get estimate readings on your bills that could catch u out as time goes by.
Im with scottish hydro i dont think that there any worse than anyone else i think gas is dearer than electric

I'm with Eon, I do everything on line, you can give a reading any time so you can keep track of what your using & how much its costing. You can view your bill on line, really easy to understand and you can print it off if you want to. I've saved a lot of money switching to them from Scottish Hydro.
When I've rang them I always get through first time, never been put on hold and its UK call centres. They've always been really helpful and I don't think I'd change to anyone else.
