iPod question

It seems there's a major difference in volume level between songs downloaded from cds and songs bought from the iTunes Music Store. I'm wondering if there's a way to standardize the volume level on my nano. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.

aye there is, when you open Itunes on your pc, right click the song in question and there should be an option bit to adjust the volume higher or lower than what it currently is.

Another way is to open iTunes, go in to 'Edit', 'Preferences', choose the 'Playback' tab and you'll then see an option called 'Sound Check'. Tick this box and it will scan all songs in your library and adjust them to the same volume level.....in theory. I've got a few songs which are still quieter than the rest, but it generally does the job. You could maybe then use Moncur's suggestion and adjust individual songs.
