Wick Harbour Day

I was in Wick on Saturday for the RNLI fundraising day and thought I'd like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in putting it together. I spent a very interesting 3 hours watching demonstrations, trying my luck on the bottle stalls and meeting friends for a blether.

But, the serious bit - I watched hundreds of people parting with money to support the organisations involved and I thought we're lucky in the county that folk care enough to turn out for these events, and, even luckier that we have volunteers who man lifeboats, work on search teams, support kids through the Sea Cadets etc so I decided to pop on here and say

Was there too and despite the weather a good time was had.

The displays were very interesting and the fish stall was absolutely heaving!! the guys on it must have been glad when they were sold out. I reckon some of you must be eating fish all this week judging by some of the bags i saw :)

As you say "all for a good cause" and well done to the organisers.
