Pretty stupid I would think, but some people don't care or don't understand...
That's why there is a law against such things in Germany.

It's because of the fixed rate fee - the APR is about the same as asking a mate to lend you a tenner and then repaying his tenner and buying him a pint at the end of the week. I've seen ones in the 10,000% range before - I do think there should be a lot more regulation around them than there currently is.

It's only because the APR is calculated assuming you have the loan for a year. In fact it is only for a couple of weeks and you are charged a fee. It's similar to the deal you would get from a porn shop :eek:
