I'm sure I saw a thread on here the other week about a company doing free delivery of woodburners to KW postcodes, but I've typed everything I can think of into the search box and can't find it.

Can anyone either point me at the thread or search their memories for which company it was please?

Thank you - found that one, but it's for gardening stuff and I'm sure there was a similar one about wood burning stoves. It could just be wishful thinking on my part!

I don't remember seeing one, but even if there was, as pointed out, delivery is never free, just calculated into the price.

True, but all the websites I've found so far have been free delivery to most of the UK and then an extra £60-£130  on top for delivery to KW14. It's getting to the point where it's going to be cheaper to drive to Inverness and buy from Bonk & Co, even though I've been told they charge through the nose.

I used to live just up the road from a small family run business in Shropshire that are very well respected for good customer service.:Razz

This part of the UK is well known for it's Iron foundries, Etc and Aga Rayburn manufacture close by.

Thanks Kevin. It doesn't look like they stock the model we're after, but I'll give them a ring just in case.

A Charnwood Country 4 - just the woodburner model, not the multifuel.

Delivery is either free or 35.-, give them a ring to check.

There are some other places online, I would compare prices and delivery charges before I buy locally. Too many people up here think they can rip us off because we can't get things elsewhere.

You could also try Allans Gillock we found stove we wanted in Machine mart catalogue and they ordered it for us as they dealt with Clarkes who make then was same price but no delivery charge as we picked up from gillock so saved us about £60 .

Another company to try is Country Kiln (http://www.woodburningstoveslimited.com/)
Although they charge £35 for delivery up here, their prices are so low that it still makes them cheaper than most
