I thought Brough slipway was guarded by a crotchie auld sod related to Victor Meldrew :confused
Are we talking about the place where the bench was removed because they didn't want to encourage visitors?

is it hush hush to avoid the meldrews ?

Funny you should mention that Gronnuck, but I was speaking to a guy who goes fishing from Brough & he told me exactly the same thing, he was made to feel very unwelcome as the Victor Meldrew bloke tried to save `His` fish stocks [lol] . I wont tell you what type of boat the chap uses for his anonymous status will be revealed.

But when we heard that wee crack , guess where we went fishing;) Never saw or heard anyone telling us to get off my land though sadly...
