Sitting here waiting for a call on my mobile and trying to exercise my brain.

What's the longest word you can make with a single key on your mobile?

What do I mean? Ok, an example. The 2 key has letters abc, so I can make the word 'cab' which has three letters, the 4 key has ghi and gives 'high' with 4 letters and so on.

I am up to 6 letters pretty easily, but I can't get 7.

Can anyone do better?

Dictionary words only.

Forget the words. I got the job! I got it! I got it! Five or Ten year contract, no less.

No more late shifts. I hate late shifts. Can't get decent childcare latenight. No more clocking in and out. No more Government Bureaucracy. No more biting NE winds offa the North Sea. Warm weather year round. A decent wage for a single mum. And a whole skidaddle of new problems, whoops, challenges to go with it, probably. My kids could grow up with funny accents. :confused And suntans.

Ok, the words. I had them all at it tonight. Everyone trying to outdo me, but none did.

Did ANYONE find a 7 letter word?

Golach, I already spend a lot of time in Edinburgh. That's part of the problem.

Anyways, they probably have computers and the like over there. :eyes

Lo SD!

At your service:-

deeded http://www.onelook.com/?w=deeded&ls=a

If I allow hyphens:-

tut-tut http://www.onelook.com/?w=tut-tut&ls=a

I think this doesn't count, if only because the hyphen is on a different key.

You will find feeded all over the Internet, but I think every instance should be fed.

I found only one real 5 letter word:-

bacca http://www.onelook.com/?w=bacca&ls=a

It is new to me. You can guess how much time I have wasted on this..........

I forgot, I have another 5 letter

abaca http://www.onelook.com/?w=abaca&last=acaba&loc=spell

Colin, I am bored too, but I am also stubborn. I was only allowing letters you can see on the key.

I can make that word on a single key, my mobile doesn't have the same letter system as your mobile.

Which job are you asking about? :D

I am momentarily awash with offers, but they are commercial-in-confidence.
