Hi!
I am part of a crew of 5 or 7 (still undetermined) people (mostly University sudents) from England trying to get from Inverness to Scrabster on Saturday 26th June, where we jump onboard a sailing yacht to the Faroes and then back down to Kyle of Lochalsh.
However, we are having serious difficulties with the travel arrangements, because we have a large amount of luggage (including maintenance kit for the boat), too much to take on train at least. We could drive, but since we finish our journey in Kyle, this would be inconvenient as the cars would have to be left in Scrabster, which really would be out of reach to us.
I've looked at one-way car hire, but so far have failed to find anyone able to help, as there is no place to return the car to.
Does anyone have any idea?
Anyone out there with a large car / minibus / van, who would be willing (for a fee obviously) to provide a lift from Inverness to Thurso, if only for the luggage and 1 member of the crew (the rest can continue by train)?
Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
