Are there any singles groups in Caithness? I don't mean groups set up for the specific purpose of meeting a partner - I mean groups where single people can get together for a social evening, trips, shared interests, holidays etc. sometimes it would be good to mix with others in the same boat, whether widowed, divorced or just single by choice. Personally i only go out with couples and am fed up feeling the odd one out.
Maybe there could be a new forum set up on Caithness.org?
I know there used to be the serandippities, but I believe they are no more.

Aye, funny connie. I don't have anything to swap and the thought of what goes on in Halkirk does not appeal to me. I'm quite happy sitting on the computer 7 nights a week.:D

Did anything become of this? I would love to meet new people and need to get out and socialise.

I did try to form a group a year or two ago. I advertised in the paper and had about 9 letters, mostly from thurso, but only one person turned up at the arranged meeting, and that was a lady from thrumster.
The Serendepists was a group which held meetings in Mackays, but they didnt last long.
im tempted to try again but i dont think people are really interested, which is a great pity..
Maybe a few of us on here could form a small friendship group on here and go out for social meetings and trips.

I've had the pleasure of being in the company of both Connie & Katarina on some (very different) "nights out". :D I'm not single but would love to join you all on a "girls" night out. If I don't get a pm or a phone call over the next week, I'll assume all you singles are out & about enjoying yourselves without me..... sob.... sob.... :~(

Seriously - hope you all have a great time!

As far as i'm concerned you are very welcome moira. Fraid i'm tied up this week, and possibly next. You can be our honorary single! (I'll keep an eye on her, MR Moira, honest!)
