Sounds interesting - any takers?
Nairn to Ballachulish race seeks entries
Entries have been sought for a new two-day challenge in which those taking part must run, cycle and kayak 109 miles across the Highlands.
The Nokia Coast to Coast takes competitors from Nairn in the east to Ballachulish in the west of Scotland.
It is open to individuals and pairs of racers.
The event, which takes place on 18 and 19 September, will feature stages around Loch Ness and Ben Nevis.
Double Olympic gold medal rower James Cracknell has reviewed the route on the organisers' behalf. He said: "The natural assets of the region, coupled with its fascinating human history and varied terrain, make for a truly evocative landscape and the perfect multi-sport challenge."
Years ago did the Karrimor Mountain Marathon in Galloway Highlands; great, nearest been to death!

Would have loved to do it but it's all a bit short notice... if it's run next year it's definitely a challenge I can see myself and my running/swimming partner doing. I take it from the pleas entries have been thin on the ground?
