It is my Grand Daughters Birthday in July and we would like to see her on her Birthday. Since she lives in Edinburgh and I due to my Disability find it very difficult to travel by road or rail I thought a quick Flight to Edinburgh might be the answer.

This morning while watching TV I saw an Advert for www.fly.com (http://www.fly.com) who say they search all Airlines to find the best route and Price for you Journey. Great I thought I will have a Look.

So I searched for flights from Wick to Edinburgh, none found.

So I searched for Flights from Inverness to Edinburgh and there were lots of them but the cheapest was £274.00. The other thing was the flight would take 7 hours 30 minutes.

I checked the flight details and this is why it was so expensive and the journey so long.

Flight 832 Depart Inverness at 2.00pm Arrives Birmingham 3.30pm
Flight 855 Depart Birmingham at 8.25pm Arrives Edinburgh at 9.30pm

I went through the list and there was no direct flight from Inverness to Edinburgh. According to this web site one of the worst was where they flew you from Inverness to Kirkwall, then to Sumburgh and then to Edinburgh. Then on the way back they flew you to Gatwick first and then on to Inverness. Completely Silly !!!!!!

I think I will forget this and look elsewhere as I am sure you can fly direct from Inverness to Edinburgh.

Will save you 40%. I also find that the further you book in advance the cheaper the fares are.

Hope you make your trip.

Reminds me of when my dad used the route planner on his new computer to get best route from Edinburgh to Blackpool, avoiding motorways if possible. The route given was via Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man!!
