Can you help me out please

On saturday our sky box decided to give up the ghost, we dont have a HD tv but hubby was looking at the sky offers and would like to upgrade to a HD sky box, would this work on our tv, this is until we manage to get a HD tv, personally i dont think it would.

You will be able to watch TV no problem, but just not in HD. My Sister has done exactly the same thing and is now saving for a HD TV.

Like what Kodiak has said. You will be able to get normal Sky pictures but not the HD signal to the TV. The HD signal will only work through an HDMI cable and since your TV is not HD ready or Full HD then you wont be able to get it.

I would watch though as most offers from Sky now are trying to push the HD subscription so make sure you take the offer without HD as you dont want to pay for something that you are unable to get until you have an HD TV.
