Sofly

Is there anything I can do to prevent an attack of sofly to my goosberry bushes this year? They ate nearly all the leaves last year, and spraying with a bug spray killed the little blighters off. I'd rather do something now than have a bare bush again.

Would using water with washing up liquid in it to drench the plants help?

Thanks for the link Unicorn. I'll investigate further and give it a try. Last year was the first time they appeared, and I only noticed them as I could visably see the leaves disappearing! But with a bit of luck the excessive amount of snow we had will have killed them off!
