I only found about the recall tonight from WatchDog. It was great surprise to me as we drink a lot of Coffee and not the one sort as we have 4 of these recalled ny Nestle.

I have sent them a e-mail now I have to wait to see what they say.

The presence of glass particles has forced Nestle Canada to recall Nescafe brand espresso instant coffee crystals.

Nestle

and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency revealed that consumers must not use the product. The release also added that Nestle was voluntarily recalling the instant coffee crystals, which are sold in 100-gram glass jars with a black sleeve bearing the universal product code number 5500065052

If you go up to my original post you will see it states :-

"Please do not take the Jar back to the shop where you purchased it"

They say you have to contact them either by phone or e-mail for a full refund, but they do not say how they will make this refund.

I had 2 jars.

I couldn't get through on the phone line to begin with, so I left it a few days.

I called again last night and a lady answered after one ring.

She took the details and promised to send a refund.

I told her I bought them in the co-op but didn't tell her there was 1/3rd off the RRP.
