I got a rail card, as I go to Inverness a few times a year. I'm just booking a weekend trip, going from Lairg to Inverness, then on to Kyle of Lochalsh. I was booking them, but at the bottom, Highland Railcard doesn't appear as an option, so what do I put? Or can I not do it online?

Thanks!

Sarah,

The Highland Railcard only applies to the following ticket types;

Anytime Single or Return
Anytime Day Single or Return
Off-Peak Return
Off-Peak Day Return ticket

(That is, its not valid on any of the cheaper advance purchase fares)

None of the above need to be booked in advance so just buy it on the train from the ticket collector (unless Lairg has recently got a station ticket office:D).

Hope that helps.
