Quite a few political threads on the Org at the moment. I was wondering, however, if it might be possible to use this thread as a way of commenting on all general political views and statements?

Anyway, here's an interesting video fans and non-fans of Barack Obama might consider viewing. For me, it was well worth watching.

Politics is in everything, thus too diverse to fit in one thread.

Perhaps a forum section, devoted entirely to politics and public policy?

I prefer the time honoured method, when people can post the first daft thing that pops into their head, then everyone else tells them what an idiot they are. :Razz

One good thing to come out of the recent 'election' is an increase in our engagement in politics.

Politics is everything, it is time to take politics back from the politicians and use it as a tool for individual engagement in change.

MPs are our elected representatives, nothing more.

We need to hold them to account if they fail to act on our behalf.

That is the change that will be most lasting if it is made.

The system needs to be changed permanently to ensure our politicians have a constant engagement with the body politic, not some tokenistic exchange such as we get cajoled into by our discontent every few years.

Or not so few, now they have it stitched up for five years no matter what happens.

Oh man that's a waste of a link - surely by now you know not to link to a YouTube video more that about 1 minute 33 seconds long. Otherwise we short attention span people will not bother watching it. Which I didn't.

Snow worries, it's what the NWO would want from you anyway.

That is one, albeit graphic, way of putting it.

Old news. It was in the Courier yesterday and is wrapping chips today.

And what's the relevance to him being an ex-public schoolboy? Is your inferiority complex kicking in again, Pepsi? ;)

Yeah, I want to know what relevance it has?

My dad used to play with boys from Gordonstoun, when he was at Strathallan. He reckons they were all fine chaps.

Get yon chip off yer shoulder. Yer pa was a public school boy no?

Pepsi, I enjoyed this, hugely.
Do I believe it?
No.
But who cares?

A commitment to paranoia seems to be integral to the USA so it's worth publicising this stuff.

Just passing on information for our vistors and residents here, in case any of them hadn't happened to read the local press.
