Hi!
We are looking for someone to put a coal fire back into our house. The chimney is swept and ready to go, but we can't seem to find anyone to "babybrick" it and put in the fireplace! Can anyone recommend someone good? Many thanks
(and incidentally, if anyone knows where we can get a set of ten antique fireplace tiles in Caithness, that would be great!)

What about having a wood burning stove instead ? its cleaner and safer and most companys have to pay to get rid of there wood thesedays so getting wood shouldnt be to much of a problem just a thought

thanks for the idea. We had considered it, but as there are fireplaces in the other rooms, we decided to stick with an open fire.

Just curious - why not use a cast iron backing plate instead?
