Last Minute

Do any of you know when is the best time to get a last minute holiday deal?

2 weeks before, 1 week before or even days before?

Also if you booked a holiday today to fly on Thursday what would be the protocol for obtaining the tickets??

you would prob. just get all e-tickets and just need to print the email you were sent confirming all your details. dont know about what is the best time to pick. just have a look and see what you see if anything suits at a great price grab it. just remember to get insurance as the ash is still in the air and lots of disruptions are expected.

We did a last minute deal to Lesvos once, had a great time.
Booked it one day and jetted off 2 days later. The kids were young at the time so we did take quite a risk but turned out to be a great holiday - except for the earthquake. :eek:

Only done it that one time though and we certainly got a good price being as it was so close to leaving.

Have booked a couple of weeks before going but have never had the nerve to leave it until the day before. Would love to turn up at the airport and see what they could offer me there but haven't had the guts to try it yet. Has anyone done that and where did you end up?
