Although not a Chelsea supporter I have to say well done on winning EPL
They have shown that you can win trophies by playing attractive football.

Well done

Well done

Bet you wouldnt have congratulated Sir Alex had he eclipsed the amount of titles your team had won ?;) I cant see him doing it next year unless he has a big change of personnel- Berbatov-£31 million oooh dear, he makes Kris Boyd look like Linford Christie

I might have said "well done" for winnning league but thats as far it would have gone.

I think Chelsea were the best team by a country mile this year and don't forget Essien was missing for half of it, I would swap SG for him.

I think that one of the reasons that Man Utds did not win league is AF's continued use of the older brigade. True they have had their moments this year but they are not getting any younger and they are holding back the progress of younger players.
Berbaflop will be like Forlan, can't fit into Man U team. He will be sold this year and rediscover his true form, you don't go from being a great goalscorer to a poor one overnight.

That said from a LFC point of view I hope he stays and that AF play the "older brigade" every match

obviously another scouser that cant take the fact we have won 18 titles.same old crap eh!.stop living in the past liverpool are no longer a big team in the epl just a mid table outfit.SG going to man city or madrid and torres away back to spain then where will you be.as for the "old brigade" i take it you havent actulay seen them play live at anytime.. i go regulary to OT and giggs and scholes an the like are pure class as even gary neville is still putting in a good shift.anyone who thinks giggs is holding back a young player back knows nothing bout football.as for berbatov i admit he hasnt scored much but his first touch is unbelievable and he doesnt get the credit his link up play deserves he still pure class.cant believe another nugget on here mentioned berbatov and kris boyd in the same sentence!!:lol:.boyd wouldnt get a game for uniteds 4 th team and couldnt lace a united players boots!.as for chelsea well done but the title will be coming home again next year.19 TITLES then we will hear the scousers greet again.

This whole thread is a shower of FAIL.

The Portuguese league was just won yesterday by Benfica. The German Bundesliga was won at the weekend by Bayern Munich. The Spanish La Liga will be won this weekend by either Barca or Real Madrid. The Italian Serie A will be won this coming weekend by either Inter or Roma. The French Ligue 1 has just been won by Marseille. The FinnishVeikkausliga is just about to start their 2010 season. The Turkish Turkcell Super Lig will be won this weekend by either Bursaspor or Fenerbahce. Anderlecht have yet again won the Belgian Jupiler League.

And that's just some of the European leagues. Have a look at the South American set ups. The Apertura in Argentina for example. An outside chance that River Plate could get relegated if their recent form continues.

There is a world of football out there. Open your eyes.

Who in Caithness cares about the English Premier League?

I meant Northern English team - we were talking EPL. Scotland is different - it's as far removed as the support that MU get from Vietnam

This is good, 2 Man Utd fans fighting amongst themselves and they wonder why people laugh at them so much

I bet one wears a red/white scarf and the other one the trendy green and yellow one.

And Im the one with the FC United one.
Went to Wembley on Sat to see my other team Barrow beat Stevenage 2 1 in the FA Trophy final. Fantastic game better than any of your premiership nonsense.

No I think you are a glory hunting muppet. I compared Berbatov to Boyd because neither of them look interested half the time but on their day both are lethal finishers. Do you think you are getting a good return on yer £31 million for him ??? From what Ive read, heard & seen you are in the minority.
The media reckon he will be off if United can get a buyer for him but who will be able to afford his wages ???

ANother point is, the new government are alleged to be taxing high earners-footballers to the tune of 50% so I reckon & so do a lot of former players that it may be a deterrent for the top stars coming to the EPL & heading to Sunny Spain ort Italy . Shame eh?

The point is, there are leagues all around the world that are more exciting than the EPL, display far more attractive football than the EPL, and are equally as relevant to a good Caithness loon as the EPL.

This apparent obsession with English football amongst native Caithnessians (if it is indeed native Caithnessians who are posting here) smacks of glory-hunting (I bet none of them support Stoke or Portsmouth) and a complete lack of ability at ignoring SKY Sports' endless hyperbole.

I thought people would have more sense, to be honest.

Its not over yet. Man Utd are having talks with Portsmouth about forming a coalition.

Stoke ? Portsmouth ? no thanks , without mentioning my English team they finished in the bottom half of the EPL but were comfortable enough in the end.

Ive said it before, La Liga is the most skillful & best league in the world- but I have no problem with plastic Mancs & bin dippers arguing over who is the better club- I find it amusing & entertaining even if you dont Metalattak.

Im not allowed to discuss my Scottish club on here , so I just dont get why you dont like us discussing EPL clubs ? I am not remotely interested in Finnish football- youre in a minority there I guess:Razz
