Was out in the garden as it was such a nice evening and spotted this coming towards me. Quickly assembled the 400mm rig on the Canon 40D and dashed back out. Thought with the Iceland Volcano stuff happening just now this seemed topical.

Formation flying!
Do you not have a triple image lens? I have and for taking aerial objects it produces some great effects.Years ago my OH did some great fake UFOs with it.

Are you sure it wasn't taken with one of those multi faceted image filters ?

Great image Deemac, nothing wrong with image manipulation as declared.
