Has anyone else tried the new Marmite X-O Extra Old?

It is far before the original Marmite, smoother and much tastier - well that is If you love Marmite...;)

No I carn't say that I have tried it. I use to love the old marmite on toast as a kid, so maybe its time to start again. ;)

My wife the Marmite fanatic, who takes it on holiday with her does not like the new stuff.

Mutters something about Blasphemers and heresy and stakes.

I prefer marmalade myself.

Marmite X-O Extra Old ? being an aficionado of Marmite for the last 60 years, came across the new one in Tesco - was impressed with the packaging: http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/03/09/article-0-08821439000005DC-999_468x414.jpg (http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2010/03/09/article-0-08821439000005DC-999_468x414.jpg) the aroma was stronger and the colour deeper, and the consistency thicker. The taste? really much improved. In short, well worth buying..

Some folks out there, don't understand, but others - they will know what I mean.. and may become 'The Marmarati'.. ;)

I got mine from the online marmite store a couple of months ago, but have left it at parents (South). May have to get another if they're in tesco and save the first for "THE" collection.
