Doreen I hope you made a full recovery. With all the criticism of the NHS and its staff in recent times, it's nice to hear some good news occasionally. :D

The patient care from all the staff at Caithness General is second to none. As you say from cleaners to consultants they are all part of a superb caring team.

Hope you are fully recovered now, Doreen.

I was admitted on to Rosebank as an emergency a couple of years ago and the standard of care, dedication and professionalism was beyond anything I have ever seen before.

I think if the same thing had happened to me where I lived in England, I probably wouldn't be here today.

The whole staff were an absolute credit to the caring professions, and this was THE best care I had ever encountered.

Funny that this thread should originate today, as I spent yesterday in the Bignold Wing - my very first experience of in patient care at Caithness General. I was totally blown away by the professionalism and care provided by ALL the staff - from cleaners to nurses to doctors and specialists - and the cleanliness of the wards was second to none. Caithness General is a hospital that deserves recognition from the NHS as an exemplar of best practice.

I hope everyone who has praise to heap upon CG will drop a note to their chief executive to let them know what a good team they run.
