I have 4 users on my PC all with their own login.
I use Microsoft Outlook for email.
How do I give the other users access to MS Outlook?
Please help.

Is that:

Give them access to your Outlook and e-mail?
Give them access to Outlook so they can use their own accounts?

It is "Give them access to my Outlook and e-mail"

all you need to do is add YOUR .PST file into THEIR outlook data file list.

you might also first need to give them secrurity rights to it in widows explorer properties tab.

what ver of outlook?

not being funny here, but i am wondering IF this might well be a bit outside your realms & you might well open a 'can of worms' toward future issues.

however.
on an account with administrator rights

firstly you need to find your pst file:
http://ask-leo.com/where_is_my_outlook_pst_file_located.html

now you know where it is you need to give the other users the rights:
http://www.ehow.com/how_5200222_change-file-permissions-windows.html

then you need to add your pst file in their outlook pst data list
(you must be logged on as the user that wants to see your mail):

http://www.freeemailtutorials.com/microsoftOutlook2003/pstFilesAndArchiving/outlook2003PstDataFiles.cwd
scroll to the Managing PST Files in Outlook 2003 section

then hit add

and navigate to where you know the pst file is from step 1 above

them name it when a box comes up

that should be it.

the mail etc will appear on the left menu, under then name you just entered.

i think thats it.

p'haps someone can check and poke holes in these instructions please

did it a bit quick....

The advise from dx100uk will give them access to your email account, is that what you want?

Its probably worth noting that while they will be able to see your existing e-mail they won't see any new stuff. You'll have to login to your account and do a send and receive for that to appear.

They also won't be able to send e-mail as you either.

For functionality like the above you'd need to setup your account for IMAP or use a local IMAP bridgehead server.

OK well dont think that will work! but thanks for the info, learned something new again:)

How do I password protect a folder on my user account then, I am the administrator. I think that would be the easiest option.

it already is passworded as such
as no-one else will be able to get access anyhow unless you change the security setting

Yes, but if I let people access my user account, to enable them to use Microsoft Outlook, there are some folders that I want to keep private, i.e. management stuff? How do I secure them?

the best idea would be to drag your .pst file to the C:drive somewhere, give people access to that.
change your 'pointing' in your outlook to the new location though.
