Anyone else in Wick got a Really sloooooooooooow broadband connection?

Connection dropped off last night and came back up a few hours ago, but its like being back on a 33.6k modem.

Yeah mine went off around 7.30 last night, came back on 20mins ago and I did a speed test my ping is 821ms to aberdeen and 0.25Mb/s. I called BT and they said it could be my netgear router, because i was not using my homehub lol they changed their tune when i told them I was using the hub when i got those results.
My mates went off around the same time but his was back on this morning, He lives on the pultney side dunno if that makes a diffrence.

Same with mine, came back on today and is so slow, I done a hard reset on the homehub to see if it would adjust to any changes but still the same.

Been on phone to BT technical 08001114567 freephone

Had to go through ages of questions before we got down to nitty gritty....Line speed to house is fine so must be an exchange fault so she is passing it onto the more technical technical team...lol

The BT network has had a lot of packet loss recently. I suspect this could be the problem. My connection was fine last night.

I prefer this status page of the Plusnet stuff - http://status.aaisp.net.uk/
They also have this for major outages - http://aaisp-btmso.blogspot.com/

It may be worth people stating their ISP that might narrow it down a bit more in threads like these. Could be an ISP backend network issue.
