Dell laptop

Dell laptop when it is switched on you can hear the fan start up , but die away and there is no other sign of life. Anyone tell me the problem?

could be 1001 things.

my first guess would be to remove the memory from under the flap
then reseat it.

if that makes no diff.

try holding F2 key down and power up.

even if you get nowt, can you hear beeping?

lastly.
unplug it from the DC adapter.
remove the battery
comeback in 10mins

put the batpack back
reconnect the PSU and see if that changes things.


if it is under 3yrs old

take it back to WHERE YOU BROUGHT IT

and get it repaired FOC under SOGA rules.

dont be fobbed off
it IS their problem and nowt to do with dell in the first instance.

unless ofcourse you purchased it direct, then it IS dells problem.
