Cordless Strimmers

Has anybody any experience using battery powered strimmers? I have a short edge and small grass path to keep tidy. How effective are cordless strimmers? Are they any good or should I just get a mains powered one?

I have a Black and Decker cordless strimmer, its first class we have a big garden and it makes quick work of the edging, needs to go back on charge once in a while, miles better than a mains and less hassle than a petrol.
