May I suggest one of the most original Idea for a Birthday is a Personalised Song on a CD. You can get a completely new song written and preformed for you and made into a CD. Or get one of their special songs personalised and preformed and made into a CD.

I did this for Mrs Kodiak last year and it was a Fantastic present and Mrs Kodiak Loved it. There are several sites that do this and here are some links. The one I used was the Link at the very top and I highly recommend them. :-

I bought my OH 40 bottles of malt, all different.

I did start buying them 2 years in advance so managed to take advantage of any deals that were on.

He is still drinking them 6yrs down the line.

Well - something more to go on. I'd love a bicycle sat nav with European and UK maps. I'd also like A Mac book, To visit the Fair Isle.

What does he like?

I live in Middle Quarter outside High Halden. My wife and I cycle to the Chequers in the summer quite often for a pint.

No - I don't live in Smarden - it's 5 miles away. We moved here 9 years ago.
Small world.

sorry got a bit confused and yes it is a small would when we was on our way home from Kent we stopped at hadrian's wall and spoke to some people that owned dunnet head light house what are the odds on that

John Little

LOL- that is coincidence indeed!

They should do something with that walled garden of theirs. I imagine once upon a time the lighthouse got cabbages, Kale, potatoes, turnips and all sorts of good stuff out of there - and now it's derelict.

A long way north you went - quite a change from beautiful soft sunny Smarden, picture of postcard English rural bliss.

Yes must admit i do miss the sun and our fiends but we still keep in touch it is the garden of England and it was a long 721 miles to get here but unlike there i know my neighbours:) and not as much crime
