I used to frequent the tower in the days when Charlie Oaks was the entertainment manager and recall some really good evenings there- wonderful food and theatre or opera in the little opera house. Do they still do open evenings? And how is the place since it changed hands?

It's fine, but for the more formal or large-scale occasion it's still a bit like skimpy drawers.
Thers's no' much ballroom at Ackergill.

Did they sell it a while back, it was on the market.
I was thinking of taking it on but I was put off by the price tag £5m, I always think it's decidedly dodgy when things are knocked out on the cheap.

Yes I thought that was cheap. They should have advertised it in the Middle East and California and Moscow. Afterall, how often does a castle on the north coast of Scotland come on the market?

I'd have thought £20 Million would have been nearer the mark.
