Pete Steele from Type O Negative died on Wednesday. He was rare-an american metal musician with a sense of irony and a sense of humour.

It seems to be true. If it's a hoax then they've taken it far enough for it to be considered incredibly crass. Sounds like type o negative right enough! But i think it's genuine. Shame. Quality band.
