Seems that drummers are in demand!! Is there a general shortage or are they all busy doing something (what?)

Think its just a shortage really. Or some just don't wanna play because they're too busy with work.

How many drummers does it take to change a lightbulb?

21. One person to change the lightbulb and another twenty to say how much better Neil Peart would of done it.

Ok, I have more...

What do Ginger Baker and canteen coffee have in common?
They both suck without Cream.

How many drummers does it take to change a lightbulb?
Just one, so long as the roadie gets the ladder, sets it up and puts the bulb in the socket for him.

How can you tell when the drum riser is level?
Drool comes out of both sides of the drummer's mouth.

What's the last thing a drummer says in a band?
"Hey guys, why don't we try one of my songs?

Kid says to his mother, "Mum, when I grow up I want to be a drummer". Mum replies " Sorry son, you can't do both".

The one in charge of the mixing desk!!

So be careful or all your output will be pitch shifted up 23 semitones, reversed with a telephone EQ preset applied (In fact this should probably improve you usual noise!! - good idea). I'd also give you 900% more of Rossie's guitar in your monitor - that should sort you out . . . . . )

how experienced are you??...................by your screen name I'd say relatively experienced & what's your personal kettle of fish as far as musical taste goes???

Don't judge a book by its cover as they say - I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination.

Initially started on the marching snare drum rudiments (approx. 6 months), before moving onto the drum kit (for the past 12 months), hence the question on experience.

As far as my musical taste goes - well we could be here all night, I listen to almost anything depending on the mood, which ranges from AC/DC, through to Country.

THE test - (This is from a Simon Phillips tuition video)

Do a half time paradiddle on the snare along with a full time Paradiddle on the double bass pedals (AT THE SAME TIME!!) - Chobbers will help you out with this one.

Personnally I prefer the 3/4 Kick - Hihat groove (KHH, KHH etc) under a polytime tom/cymbal solo over the top (Bozzio specialises in this area).

These sort the men from the boys!!

Your pipe band training will be a massive advantage.

WHO WAS LOOKING FOR A DRUMMER ANYWAY!!?

I spent my first 15 years not playing anything.

You started at 3 years old. You have a VERY unfair advantage.

And in what song do you play this useful drum trick anyway ("Fields of Athenry . . . . "?)
