just a thought on sausages and how wrongly they are shaped..... pet hate is trying to cook sausages ALL the way round ......

square sliced sausage is a different thing altogether, lets you brown equally on both sides.......

Just put your sausages on your chopping board and give each one a good roll with the palms of your hands. This will give them a nice long shape and stop them curling as they heat up helping you cook them evenly!

Ees simples. Cook them in a hot oven on a grill in a roasting tin.

Presto! Cooked all round.

Its not often I have them, but I slice them down the middle.

I know what you mean they are tricky to cook evenly. [lol]

Press down on the sausages, problem usually solved, though it depends on the skin. Some skins are natural products, others are artificial, though I can't remember which is which when it comes to remaining intact or splitting.

Eat Quorn sausage like rolled mico protein "sausages" Make thoroughly hot, doesn't really matter if they’re cooked [lol]

Put on tray in oven and bake for 40mins at 180 :lol:

Take your raw sausages and a frying pan.
Place the raw sausages on a wooden chopping board.
Beat the sausages mercilessly with the frying pan until they look more like chapattis.

Your sausage problem has been cured.

I have taken aboard all the help and advice and now feel much better about cooking said sausages ......

So to cook you sausage evenly:

Place 2 sausages vertically in toaster. Jam mechanism with a metal knife or similar to stop it popping up "toast" for 10 Minutes. Then rotate 180 degrees and toast for a further 10 minutes check for cooked ness. If further cooking required, place toaster, sausages and knife in microwave and ding for a further 20 minutes.

Call Fire brigade, police, ambulance.........
