Just been a walk and came up with these two was delighted to see the Shrike as not seen one for a few years. Also saw some Shell Ducks and nearly trod on a Pheasant who flew off with a very startled cough/squawk!

Good point MPH but it was the long tail that made me think Shrike....will see what others have to say!

Definite male Wheatear unfotunately LIZZ, here's a photo of a Red-backed Shrike for comparison.

Now if that was a Loggerhead Shrike it would be a fantastic sighting, but alas Nirofo is usually right.

Many thanks all I could not get a close up shot with my camera,am delighted with the id even though it was not a Shrike.
