Hi All,

Any recommendations on getting a replacement key for a Ford cut?

The key has a transponder chip which from what I have found can be coded for £10 - £20 rather than the £40 or so from Ford.

Thanks,
Mr_A

you usually need your red key to do it tho.

My key has a blue square rather than red, is this the same thing?

Thanks.

You could try the locksmith/shoe repairers in Thurso if you don`t want to pay Frauds stupid price for a new key but you may need 2 original keys for coding to the car,it depends how old your car is. Mik.

Ended up going with Dunnets, cheaper than I thought and very fast efficient service.

Wait for the car to disappear overnight...
