Hi there, I am wanting to start an online course, not sure what i want to do yet.

But i am wondering if anyone else has or is doing one, if they have any advice or opinions as some of them are quite a bit of money to do:D

Thanks

Have you had a look at the Open University?

http://www.open.ac.uk/

They have quite a lot of good courses and introductory courses too that you can do to see if the subject is for you.

I'm sure they still offer funding to pay for the course if you earn less than a certain amount (can't remember how much - sorry!).
If you don't qualify for that then you can apply for ILA funding to pay for a course or part of a course.

I am currently studying with the OU and my tutor couldn't be more helpful. Lots of courses to choose from aswell.

By online course do you mean something like an HNC/D, degree or something like computer certification A+, CCNA, MCSE etc.

If its the later avoid companies like computeach and just find some good material (books, videos what not and study yourself), A night course may also be an option. You'll probably be entitled to some form of ILA. It may not be applicable but yoiu can even do something full time like an NC even if you have no prior experience etc.

If you could post a bit more info like maybe an area you like or even interests, that might help narrow it down.

Most of these things usually send you bursary, scholarship and hardship application forms with the pack also.
