If they could nail some railway tracks to it, it might make a good thrill ride at Alton Towers.

I was thinking it was somewhere between Pisa and Alton Towers, but still tat.

Looks like he tried to design it properly, got bored and just made a huge squiggle to get down the pub early.

So, designed by an Indian bloke born in Bombay (Mumbai) India, being built by a firm that was founded in Ireland by an Anglo-Danish engineer, part funded by a British-Indian steel tycoon and £3.1m provided by the London Development Agency. "whose purpose is to promote London's economy, with an emphasis on small and medium enterprises (SME's)"..

Right - still wondering if the piccy is the scaffolding for the main exhibit.?

Oops hasten to add am not being racist - just to show the International flavour

We should be applauding the man; not only has he given the UK (London) a sculpture we can be proud of, he's also introduced a new word into our language.

At the same time we close hospital wards and people wait for operations.
Sic transit gloria mundi - in a heap of metal spaghetti.

Is anyone else really struggling to see how it incorporates the 5 olympic rings? As fart as I can see, the only rings involved are the designer, and Boris for thinking its a good idea........

Truley gutted it's NOT a roller coaster though. I think we should start one of those online petitions, see if we cant convince Boris and Gordon to stick tracks and a few carts to it.

Reminds me of a Roger Dean album cover design from the 70's which makes it brilliant.

Classic load of rubbish designed by some OK-yah architect with more influence than brains. You should see the 'statue' put in place in the centre of our village. Looks like another piece of twisted metal left over from an explosion.

Give the design brief to the guy who designed those buildings in Dubai - now, they are class!!
