Fishing at Scrabster

I mind as a kid that you'd often get people fishing off the old fish mart quay and the Ice House pier. was wondering is there still fishing there, or are the other places down Scrabster way to fish and maybe catch a few tiddlers?

still plent of flatties/flukes in the inner harbour corner along from mission towards the market and also off the ola pier. :)

Mainly small stuff about just now, should improve over the next month.

Ice house pier? That wasn't there when I was a kid - it was the Ola pier back then. I once caught a megrim off the inner wall of the market pier. There also used to be some good conger off the outer wall - probably about 25-30lb. Used to catch mackerel in season, peltigs and coalies, scorpion fish and had an octopus once.

as bigman said mainly small stuff around at the moment but when the fish is there i find the ice shed as good as any iv had many of fish from there
