Anchton or Auchton Loch

I am trying to determine where this place might have been. References to people born at this place in the late 1700's appear in a book written about their descendants. I can't seem to locate it but I'm quite sure it should be in Caithness
Anyone know anything about it?

Auchton Loch is the old name for Stemster Loch which is on the feft of the road from Rangag to Lybster.
