Jack is a tan suluki x lurcher puppy aprox 3-4 months old who was picked up as a stray and has not been claimed. He is a very handsome wee boy a bit on the skinny side but very sociable and loves to play with other dogs. He currently living with his foster mum and socialising well with kids and his foster sister a black lab. He is almost house trained and not a chewer, but he is a lively puppy and loves playing although he does eventually collapse when tired out. Would love him to go to a home where he had the company of another dog and to someone with experience of hound types or willing to learn lol. There is someone out with Caithness potentially interested in Jack but just thought i would post about him on here in case anyone in Caithness has room in their hearts or home for him. Home checks will be done and references from vet etc would be needed. If you are interested in giving Jack a forever home then please get in touch on 01955 607735 or 01955 607737.

thanks for looking

He sounds like he could be a stunner from his breeding. Does he have a long coat?

I hope he gets a loving forever home soon - whether it be in Caithness or not, just as long as he is loved and cared for.

If I could talk the other half into us having a dog ................ (Dream on!)

Best of luck to you Jack. Now that Anne is involved, you will get a cracker of a home (which you deserve) :)

Hi Nibbler

His coat is not long at the moment but very soft looks as if he may well have silky ears and feathers on his legs and tail. He is a rich red colour and his face has a lovely creamy coloured mask with a smoky grey edge to it and his tail is also a smoky grey colour, he has a very aristocratic look about him with his long nose lol. He certainly is going to be a stunner. I would love to keep him as well but hopefully he is on his way to his new home on Monday fingers crossed.:Razz

Sadly Jack's potential new home has fallen through and for various reasons ie financial etc the person who was going to take him has decided that she is not able to have him although happy to foster does not want the responsibility of a dog of her own. I respect this decision and wish more people were as sensible as this before embarking on getting a dog and then realising after a few months that they really were not in a position to do so.

Anyway i am in the position now that Jacks 7 days are up and his clock has started ticking as most of you know the council are only obliged to keep them for 7 days and then they are either rehomed or put to sleep:(. So please everyone put you thinking caps on and if you know anyone who could offer Jack a loving forever home Get in touch asap either via pm or on 01955607735 or 01955607737.

cheers anne

Was scared to post on here till it was definite, but delighted to be able to share it with everyone who was following Jacks story.

Had a phonecall late on Monday night about Jack. This Lady absolutely ticked all the right boxes. Already has a deer hound, walks miles, understands and has a lot of experience with lurcher type dogs and also absolutely fell in love with Jacks photos. As she was not able to meet him in person it was arranged that her daughter would come and meet him on Wednesday to see if he would be suitable for her mum.i did not want to tempt fate by posting this till it was absolutely definite and now i am delighted to say that Jack will be going to live in Liverpool with his new brother Alfie the deer hound. Thanks for all the help and good wishes everyone, and apologies for my full pm box i have emptied it a bit now!

Liam and Roisin sorry you have missed out this time there seems to have been a bit of confusion and your message was not passed onto me until Wednesday when i was with Jack during the meeting to see if he was going to his new home. Please give me a call again best time to catch me is before 10:00am in the office.

Well done, Ann, I am so glad that Jack was rescued in the nick of time. It is really sad that lovely, healthy animals have to be put down. So sweet of you to offer Jack a home, LiamandRoisin, maybe you can rescue another in the same situation.
