is it best just to leave things in the virus vault...can they do any harm from there...if you empty the virus vault, where do the viruses, threats go..

I had a Trojan this am from a link on Face Book.
It alerted me straight away and dealt with it.

No just go ahead and empty the Virus Vault - I really don't understand why anyone would want to keep virus-infected file(s) but many AV programs put them in the vault rather than just deleting them!

So that they can be sent to the AV programmers to analise (SP?), or, it's a false positive which can later be restored.
