iv bin catchin up wi 'e soaps an a storyline hes tickled ma brain....

say, i wis oot wi' ma pal at a club one nite an because she hed made a tit o' hersel 'e nite before, decided no til hev any drink.

say, she hed one bottle o' beer an stuck til orange juice 'e whole nite. then i come along an spike her juice wi' vodka, many times.

then a while later she and her pals want til go til a party ootside toon. she takes 'e car thinkin she hesna bin drinkin.

crash boom bang - wild accident. someone in a coma.

she obvilously fails a breathaliser...twice, an is charged wi' drink drivin. lookin at getin charged wi' death by drink drivin.

if i telt 'e polis that i wis responsible for her bein druwnk, then where would 'at leave ma friend, would she still be charged?

would i be charged, an what wid 'e charges be?

By "intellectual queery", do you mean Stephen Fry, for example ?

Or do you mean "intellectual query"...as in 'not often found around here' ?

SNAP!

I said it first, I win.

Yeah this would be the Hollyoaks storyline where Rhys spiked Josh's drinks.

I have been wondering the answer to this very question maself.

I have to say I think if you came forward claiming to have spiked yer pals drinks the police would be unlikely to believe you, and think u were just stickin up for them.

The driver should have been aware they were unfit to drive, spiked drink or not.

Similar happened at a wedding in Lairg many years ago and even with a number of witnesses the chap was still convicted of drinking and driving whilst over the limit.
