Nah that's Mussolini.

Alexi Sayle once did George Formbys' tribute to Mussolini:

"Ah'm swinging from a lampost at the corner of our street..."[lol]

wonder if i point out to these "powerful" people that as they cycle for this glorious cause, that each mile they travel from wick to inverness is the same as what they will be expecting our pregnant mothers to travel when they wish to deliver their kids if our unit is downgraded, would love to hear their opinion
or course not that our maternity unit will be downgraded

Just got back from Reiss beach after walking the dogs.

Their was a guy walking down the beach with a very attractive lady on his arm (at about 7am with no dog) and when I said good morning they replied with an American accent.
It certainly looked like the man in question.

Yup, Wick: 'Hollywood of the North':Razz

So we have celebs landing today at Wick airport today, apparently a well-know figure wandering around the county...blimey.

It isn't exactly unusual.

We have a hotel in the vicinity which specialises in providing a quiet retreat for the rich and the famous.

In the past the people of Caithness weren't so star struck, they'd see the Queen Mother wandering around and not even bother to mention it. We once had a long list of famous names at a hotel in Caithness at a meeting about investing their money in forestry (tax fiddle) and no one even noticed.

do you know.. someone famous could walk up to me and say hullo and i wouldnt have a clue who they were.. im never good at things like reconizing stars. i was chatting away to kevin bacon outside the empire state building when i was 17 and had no clue who it was, until several of the other girls grabbed me and started screeching in my ears after we said our goodbye. still didnt have a clue who it was.. just that it was a movie star and i was hopeless"!
