Does anyone know anything about this website? https://www.worldwideticketstore.com My son was told to purchase his T in the park tickets from them, but he is now worried that it is a dodgy website. He phoned his bank to try and cancel the transaction, but was told it wasn't possible to do anything until the money had left his account. He is a student and can't afford to lose that amount of money. Any information is appreciated!

You know what people are like about T in the Park, when tickets go on sale there is a mad rush for them. Does anyone know, Is there a website that people can go to to find out if a ticket selling site is authentic?

Hmm i would only trust Ticket Master. Some sites are not dodgy though. So hopefully fingers crossed the site is genuine!

A quick Google found:

This (http://www.safeconcerts.com/forum/threads.asp?forum_urn=124&pg=3&t_urn=10066)

This (http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/investigations/2009/07/ticket-beware-1-worldwideticke.html)

This (http://www.vfestival.com/tickets/page/possible-scam-sites)

This (http://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?name=worldwideticketstore.com) (says website is registered in Turkey)

Perhaps you could remove all the money from the bank account? When the order is processed you will get a charge but perhaps the bank may give it back to you if you explain the situation.

Good luck!

NEVER buy anything like this on a debit card/by cheque/with cash.

ALWAYS pay by credit card. That way, under the consumer credit act, you can claim your money back from Visa/Mastercard.

A friend of mine fell victim to a dodgy laptop website, losing £500. He got his money back as he paid by Visa, people who had pain with visa delta/switch lost everything.

Also, If you but something that is faulty but you have trouble getting a refund from the seller, the consumer credit act heps you too.

A lot of people don't like the idea of credit cards due to the ability to get into debt etc, but providing you pay them off each month, I think this case shows it's worth having one.

This only applies for purchases over £100

That's true, but a weekend ticket to 'T' will have cost more than that.

i dont think it does have to be over £1oo... you can also use credit card to pay deposit, and balance on debit card.... credit card company is still liable for full amount .....

Indeed true, however the total cost has to be over £100.

Have not got a clue how much a T in the Park ticket costs.:)
