parking fine

I've just got a ticket for not displaying a current tax disc in my car. I bought it in January and forgot to swap them over at the end of the month. Guilty as charged!
However, I'm not sure where to send the fine to. It's not really clear on the ticket. It just says to the Sheriff's Clerk's Office for any of the Sheriff's Courts in the Highlands. Would I send it to Wick as it is closest or Inverness as it's the 'capital'? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Also, there is no mention of who to make a cheque payable to. Can I even pay by post or do I have to go in person?

Walk into the Wick Sheriff Clerk's office. They won't refuse cash.

I would give the sherrifs clerks office a call on Monday and ask if you can send a cheque,they will be able to tell you who to make it out to x
