Watching the arrival of the local hooligans this morning I was amazed to see two juveniles still in their brown feathers and just the onset of the speckles , no sign of the irridescent feathers they will acquire as adults.
I have not noticed them before today so am intrigued, can they be last years brood or have they some how been reared this year?
I highly doubt the latter.
