Honest, it is there! It is such a large image that you have to use the arrow at the bottom of the page to move the image along about half-way and there you will find the moon. (The bar at the bottom of the page shows how far along you are) Ann

Almost full tonight........ why are we all so fascinated by the moon, it seems to have a quite primaeval effect on a lot of people.

Great photo grumpy. But I have just noticed that some of the radiating trails from the major crater don't actually meet up radially with the crater, they are slightly offset from centre, weird and I would have thought that to be against ballistic physics?:confused

Grumpyhippo, your moon shot is superb. What kit are you using to get this shot?

All my efforts on my 400mm lens are dire!! I've been struggling to get the moon so far!

Is it a scoping lens?

Its a sigma 170-500 on a D80. At 500mm its the equivalent of 750m on 35mm film so a tripod is a must. Of course this being Caithness the wind is always a problem with long lenses.

Highlander, I love your second photo. Very Dreamscape! Can just picture the kid sitting on the tip with his fishing pole.
